Verdict

An enormously deep action-RPG with a fair, cosmetics-only cash shop. New leagues every few months keep the endgame fresh for build crafters.

About Path of Exile

Path of Exile is the deepest free action-RPG loot grind there is. A galaxy-sized passive tree and a modular gem system let you build practically any character you can picture, which is why theorycrafters adore it.

The shop is cosmetics and stash tabs only, so nothing about power sits behind a paywall. Fresh leagues every few months reset the economy and add mechanics, keeping the endgame alive for years. It's intimidating at first, but few games pay off mastery this well.
